Not very far from Stonehenge where we heading for. Just a bit over 2 miles away, 5 minutes by taxi or around 40 minutes by walk. Very cozy and large room with bay window was decorated in English style and faced the street with very low traffic. We liked traditional table and chair. There was lcd tv, hairdryer and kettle. Very pleasant to have full-sized bath instead of shower cabin at 2* hotel. Large and perfect comfort double bed. Friendly and helpful personnel helped us order taxi for Stonehenge and gave us an entry door key to let us come in and out at early morning.
Wi-Fi was available only in public areas, however fast and free of charge. Bathroom ventilation was very noisy and combined with main bathroom light, so we need to not turn off main light at all. Happily there was smaller lamp at the bathroom. Breakfast was average: not very good eggs and bacon, however these was fresh, and toasts with marmalade were tasty.

Very nice rooms. Delicious breakfast in a room looking out onto the beautiful garden. We also ate supper there in the evening and the food was great! We stayed in the 'Beatles' room and loved it.
No lift.

I enjoyed the fact that you had your own key to allow yourself in at any time sadly this did not work but was still a good thought.
Your room did not have hot water when we tried to call or someone to help they was not at all helpfull and did not have anyone to fix it, we was told to run the hot tap in the sink to help the hot water run ! I also did not like that you had to go to get your own tea and coffee as you did not no which one was which and there should have been a more viarety at the breakfast table. I work within a hotel on Park Lane in London so sadly i do know the correct things and take notice of every detail but other than this the staff members should be trained more and more helpful but was a comfortable room.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful once I found someone! The reception was unmanned and I had to queue at the bar in order to arrange a check in. As there was only one person on the bar and she was very busy I eventually wandered down a back hall and found a young lady who then came to the reception. It took about 15 minutes. My daughters room was hot and they were unable to open the window which had been screwed shut and they spent a rather uncomfortable night. I had to pin up the curtains in my room to avoid being woken by early morning light as the curtains were hanging off the rail. The breakfast was good although, again the staff were not in evidence and I had to look for someone to replenish some of the hot food. As I said before, the staff were very kind and accommodating, but I got the impression that the hotel was understaffed and everything just a little tired.
